Hello and welcome! I know it can be hard to reach out for help with your mental health. Whether it's in my practice or with another doctor, I encourage you to continue. Issues like depression, anxiety, and ADHD can have an enormous impact on quality of life, yet many times they go untreated, sometimes for years. Please know that help and treatment options are available.
You can learn more about me here.
I have a particular interest in helping adults with ADHD, depression and anxiety, baby blues and postpartum symptoms, and OCD. I also help people with work stress and parenting and relationship issues. I make a point of maintaining a small private practice in order to provide personalized and responsive care for my patients. I believe it's important to understand not only an individuals current symptoms but also their background, strengths, goals, and life circumstances. Please do be in touch if you would like to get started with treatment.
If you're interested in scheduling an appointment, the first step is getting in touch to arrange a brief phone call so I can learn a bit about you and we can make sure the practice is a good fit for you.
You can either submit an online inquiry or call the office and follow the prompts for new patients to leave a voicemail. Either way, I will get back to you for a brief phone call (generally within 1-2 business days.)
After our phone consultation if you decide to schedule an evaluation, we will arrange that. In the HIPAA secure portal you will enter your address and communication preferences as well as review and sign office polices and privacy practices. It's important to fill out all intake forms there before your Initial Evaluation appointment. If you run into difficulty, please let me know and I can help.
Whether you are new to the area and looking to transfer care or this is your first time visiting a psychiatrist, the initial evaluation is a chance for me to learn about not only the specific concerns that are prompting you to seek care now but also your background, any stressors that are contributing, and your medical history.
First appointments generally last 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Once we have established the nature of what's troubling you and relevant information about your personal and medical history, we will discuss treatment options as appropriate. Medication may be started if indicated and/or therapy options may be recommended. Depending on the circumstances, I may also order lab work at this first appointment. The Initial Evaluation fee is $375.
If my practice is a good fit for you and ongoing treatment is indicated, we will usually schedule your first follow up appointment at the end of your Initial Evaluation. This first follow up appointment is often 2-3 weeks after your first appointment, especially if a new medication has been started. We may also schedule a phone check-in. In many cases, over time and as symptoms improve/any adjustment period or side effects of medication stabilize, follow up appointments can be spaced out to once a month or once every few months. I generally provide medication management with or without brief psychotherapy at follow up appointments, but every person's situation and preferences are unique and therefore treatment plans will vary. Follow up appointment fees are generally $225 or $255 depending on appointment type.

Please note that both the times and fees listed above are estimates based on typical appointment types. In some instances, clinical circumstances are such that a scheduled 25 minute visit needs to be extended to another appointment type in order to provide appropriate care and it would therefore be documented and coded for the actual appointment type. In general, though, the fees and approximate times listed are a good estimate of the most common appointment types. The fee ranges listed are 2022-2023 rates and are subject to change in future years. I am happy to provide a written estimate of estimated fees prior to any appointment. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.
